About UsBowling Green Presbyterian Church was established in 1895 and continues to thrive today. We believe that our current mission and purpose is just as relevant to us as it was to those who had the faith to build this church then. We are a church family...we love, respect, and care for each other (& tease...and even disagree at times.) But we have the love of Christ that binds us, challenges us, pushes to our full potential...as we acknowledge that our sisters and brothers here are an integral part of our personal spiritual journeys. We invite you to join us...for a Sunday, for a Season, for a lifetime. This is God's house; everyone is welcome here!

Our History |
Bowling Green Presbyterian Church has a rich history dating back to October 10, 1895, when a petition was presented to the Bethel Presbytery by 27 individuals who felt led by the Lord to build a church in this community. The Church is built from South Carolina granite, the state stone. The granite was from a quarry less than a mile away and was cut and hauled to the building site in wagons pulled by mules. In addition to the beautiful stone, the church is adorned with gorgeous stain glass depicted the life of Christ and the Church.
